The 2.0.1 hardware introduces the new Crystal Shield back lid which improves mechanical stability against falls, secures the flex PCB connector in place and increases Bluetooth connectivity strength.
This is a development kit for developers and researchers. OpenEarable is not intended for resale to end users and shall be used for non-medical applications only! Note: Wireless audio streaming with OpenEarable requires an Android smartphone with LEAudio and Bluetooth 5.2 support (e.g. Google Pixel phones). At this time, iOS does not support LEAudio yet, however, you can still access the sensor data via Bluetooth or by recording to the SD card.
